All jokes aside, let me be the first (and only for now) to say, welcome! Inspired by Mike Krukow’s famous catchphrase while announcing the starting catcher (“In the SQUAT, we have [Catcher’s Name]”), this blog was created during an exciting time in Major League Baseball and San Francisco Giants history. If you’re thinking of the elimination of the Shift…eh, close but not quite.
From Haniger homers to Webb gems, and everything in between, From the SQUAT! covers latest from the greatest show on (San Francisco) dirt. As a former catcher and current San Francisco Giants fanatic, I like to say that I’ve garnered a unique perspective of the game, one that may or may not firmly believe Barry Bonds belongs in the Hall of Fame.
Developed and nurtured 90-feet away from the mound, I deliver this perspective to you, my wonderful readers from the Bay Area and beyond…even you LA fans.
